MMD Composer Hangs at Launch
UPDATE 4/17/18: Thanks to a comment from a user, I was able to track down the cause of this. It's not a specific file problem, it's a problem when multiple files are opened simultaneously. Fixed for the next release. Thanks to all who reported this! The fixes below do work for this issue.
If Composer hangs when you first launch it, this is in all likelihood due to something strange happening with a file that is automatically being opened by your system.
-
Try launching Composer by double-clicking the icon and holding the shift key down. It should launch without opening the previously opened windows.
-
Alternatively, delete the contents of the folder
/Users/<your user name>/Library/Containers/com.multimarkdown.composer4.mac/Data/Library/Saved Application State/com.multimarkdown.composer4.mac.savedState
(Alternatively, you can look at the contents of thewindows.plist
file to try and track down the troublesome file. -
If that doesn't work, be sure you have tried rebooting your computer.
-
You can also try deleting Composer's preferences.
-
If none of that works, then there may be something wrong with your computer. Contact us to see if we can come up with any other ideas.
