Changing Preview Font

I've taken the sample CSS that was posted and attempted to modify it to use Arial in the preview rather than Times. But nothing changes.
I'm no CSS expert but I've had success tweaking the CSS in my epubs so I don't know if I'm approaching it wrong or it's not working right.

    1) That's not CSS.

    2) That was a stylesheet for v2 of Composer. v3 and v4 use different formats.

    3) v4 themes are for the editor. Preview uses CSS.

You're right. It looked like json to me but I figured what the heck...

Since then I've edited the pretentious.css and changed the font-family
references tp Helvetica and the font references from Palatino to Arial
but nothing changed. I'm obviously go about this the wrong way.

Please ignore the last one. It was obsolete.

Your CSS file is incorrect -- one of the valid changes you made was to table captions, for example -- that does work properly in Composer.

You left the comma out before serif in several instances.

Thanks. I guess I'd better dig out my css book. I took out some commas that I thought were dangling because it hadn't worked with them in. I'll try again.

    Hi,

I've resolved the css syntax issues. This is what is happening now.

1 - setting the new css in the prefs doesn't seem to do anything. No
idea what is is supposed to do.

2 - If the preview is open and I use the view menu to select the new css
    is displays fine.

3 - if I close the preview and reopen it, even though the view is still
set to the new css, the display reverts to 'basic' even though the
preview menu item remains set to the new css.

4 - if I click the new css entry again, even though it's checked, the
display changes and is rendered by the new css.

    Thanks,

    Dan

fyi - the issues with the preview window blanking does not occur since
    the last update.

    Re: your secondary questions:

    1) CSS preferences -- Default CSS for new windows, just like default theme.

    3) It uses the default CSS for new windows, not the last selected. This behavior is the same as that for editor themes. Additionally, it remembers what you previously used for saved documents.

    Hi Fletcher,

I've noticed that when the new version opens it starts out very small.
It is supposed to remember its previous size? Is this small effect what
    you intended?

Make sure to update, but it does remember previous sizes.

Once you resize and save a document, it's size and position will remembered. Same for new untitled documents, but have to close the untitled document to reset the "default" position to whatever you desire

I preparing to test that but it has been "Updating" for an hour now with
    no end in sight.

Tried another way. It is hanging on the install and relaunch, not on the
    download.

See other threads -- after to install manually. Sparkle doesn't work with sandboxed apps...
