I don't see where I can specify the default directory to save or open files. Is there a way to specify this?

MultiMarkdown Composer follows the standard OS X behavior -- it defaults
to the last folder used to save a document.

If you prefer to change this behavior, I believe there are third party
extensions that offer alternative behaviors to all apps on your system
    (e.g. Default Folder X?)

I have not tried any of those utilities.
