HTML export with mathematic expressions
Hi,
Why the HTML file doesn't show the correct mathematic expression?
For exemple: \\[ \frac{1}{2} \\] HTML file shows " \\[ \frac{1}{2} \\]" while PDF shows "1/2" in the correct way. I need the HTML file! What can i do?

Thanks for writing in!
You need to enable MathJax to properly allow math to be displayed in HTML files. If you don't want to do this manually, there is a preference to enable it for you.

It is possible that it's enabled and it works on Multimarkdown but it doesn't work on the exported html file?

It shouldn't be. Can you send me the exported HTML file?

Yup. QuickLook doesn't support javascript, so it won't show you MathML in these files. You would have to manually convert the LaTeX math into MathML and save the MathML directly in the HTML file. MathJax will allow you to copy the MathML source (or at least it used to -- I haven't tried that in a while.
Glad you got it sorted out!

Lorenzo,
I'm not sure exactly what problem you're having. Are you having trouble with the App Store?
If so, there's nothing I can do to help -- you'll have to contact the App Store. I have no ability to troubleshoot the App Store
If it's something else, then let me know a few more details about what is going on.
Thank you,
Fletcher

Hi,
the problem is that the MD.app version 2.55 downloaded from the website doesn't works.. I can't open it. There's no errors.. but it doesn't open
Support Staff 13 Posted by Fletcher on 07 Oct, 2013 01:39 PM
Lorenzo,
Sorry you're having trouble.
1) As an aside, there was a typo on the download page -- there is no version 2.55 -- that should read 2.5
2) If the app won't launch, there's not a valid App Store receipt on your machine. If you download the Mac App Store version and run it, then the direct download version should run the next time. You have to
3) If it's still not launching, then try to run Composer, then run the "Console" application and look for some messages about Composer. Send those to me and I can take a look.

I have resolved with Time machine! I have restored an old version of the application and Mac App Store recognized it!

How about a scroll always synchronized? :)
Support Staff 17 Posted by Fletcher on 28 Oct, 2013 04:07 PM
If you hold down the Command key, scrolling is synchronized. It is also synchronized whenever you type.
When else would you want it synchronized? By not forcing the sync to always be on, one can compare two parts of a document by scrolling one view, and not the other. Also useful on the very rare occasions that the sync doesn't work properly and you need to adjust the two panes separately.

Hi!
can you fix it?
Support Staff 19 Posted by Fletcher on 28 Oct, 2013 04:49 PM
If you're getting into complex math, you would be better off using the math features. Superscripts work for simple examples, but not following "special" characters (e.g. (){}[]…).
