Does MultiMarkdown Composer II support the ODB Editor Suite? Details of the Suite can be found at the following link:

I'd love to use MultiMarkdown Composer II as my editor for other apps that support external editors, such as Mars Edit. I've tried using MultiMarkdown Composer II with Mars Edit but it doesn't seem to work properly.

To the best of my knowledge, ODB isn't really compatible with sandboxed applications. Composer v1 supported it, but it caused a lot of problems.

The ODB protocol is pretty archaic as far as I can tell, and I don't believe anyone is working an a newer alternative. I don't anticipate being able to add support for ODB to Composer 2, but I can't rule it out entirely.

    Hi,

Thanks for that response. I'll pass on your suggestion about that other approach and hopefully Mars Edit can do something like that.

In the meantime, what's the best way for me to extract the HTML code from my MultiMarkdown documents? What I have been doing so far is to export them as HTML files, then change the file extension to .txt and open it in TextEdit. Then I can copy and paste the code into whatever other application I like, or insert whatever other code (e.g. PHP) I need before publishing it online.

Is there a better way than this?

    Many thanks in advance.

Why not use the "Copy As HTML" feature?
