Elastic tab stops
I love the way it looks on the main window I am typing in and it is behaving exactly as i would expect, however that does not carry across to the preview pane where the tabulated info displays as a long line of text.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

The appearance of the text in the editor is unrelated to the preview.
The preview is the result of processing the text with MultiMarkdown.
If you want a table, use a table:

Thanks, I was able to get a basic table going from following those instructions.
