Export to Doc

I sometimes need to export *.md files to rtf/doc format which contain footnotes. An test example attached.

The footnotes do not translate into 'real' footnotes, i.e. that it is possible to click on the footnote number in Word/LibreOffice in the text and be taken to the footnote text.

However, if I export the *.md file in MMC to Flat OpenOffice format, which is then opened in LibreOffice then the footnotes are recognised as 'real' formats. I can then save the file in *.doc format etc.

    That's correct.

    1) RTF is a really terrible document format. MMD does not have "real" support for RTF, and likely never will.

    2) The approach you describe is the right approach -- MMD->OpenOffice. From there, you can convert to just about any "Word" related format (e.g. RTF, etc.)

    3) Both Composer and MMD itself support converting to OpenOffice.

    Hope this helps,
