(multimarkdown version 2.8)

Sorry for the delay in responding -- holiday weekend got me
behind.

Direct conversion to Word is provided by Mac OS, and it's rather
limited. (Basically MMD converts to HTML, and the OS converts HTML
to Word)

If you really need to work with Microsoft Word documents (and my
apologies to you if you do -- it's a horrible format), the best way
is to use MMD->OpenOffice, and then use LibreOffice to convert
to Microsoft Office format.

The extra step results in a much better result most of the
time.

Same thing if you are creating RTF.

In either case, make sure your images are local, and not on the
internet.

Hope this helps!!
