Insert tilde (~) rather than having subscript

Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to use the ~ character so that it shows up in the output, rather than signaling subscript. I tried adding a backslash, but then both the ~ and the \ appear in the output (though the lack of subscript suggests that the backslash is working in some sense).

Thanks,
Shane...

I just pushed a fix for this to MultiMarkdown, which will be picked up
in the next release of Composer.

    Thanks for letting me know!
