Duplicated "help" menu item
Help appears twice. Seems odd.
I love MMC: I'm using it for writing my dissertation -- better than Scrivener for me.

John,
Glad you're finding Composer useful! Some people like the "kitchen
sink" approach of some apps. I definitely prefer the more streamlined
ones like this.
As for the help menu, I've heard a couple of other people report that. I
don't know what the common denominator is, but it seems that there is
something strange in Apple's code that causes an unnecessary
duplication. I haven't found anything thus far about why this happens
--- there's only one there, and there's only one on any of my
computers... Are they both functional?

No actually, the left Help menu item has a search box, the "MMC Help" option and "Syntax Guide" tied to cmd-/. The one one the right has MMC Help with the cmd-H shortcut. Perhaps some old resource code lying around? This is in 2.6.9 (53).
Take care,
jds

I just tried running the latest App Store version on Yosemite, and no issues with the help menu there either.
What language is your computer running in?

I'm running regular US English, though with a Dvorak layout (don't think that matters). I just saw the double Help again on a fresh start, and it co-occurred with the dialogue box requestiing an updated review in the app store (to which I replied "remind me later"). On a second restart, no dialogue box, and no duplicate Help menu.

I have not heard of anyone noticing a connection between the dialog and
the second help menu. If you say "Remind me later" it will ask again
after 10 (if I remember) hours of use. You can see if the same thing
happens again the next time (10 hours of active use, not sitting in the
background being ignored.)
Interesting...
