I am using version 2.6.8 (52) under OS X 10.9.2, the version available for download from the multimarkdown.com website.

I have lost the ability to automatically create a table.

Steps (e.g. to create a two column table):

  1. I create the first line,e.g. "| one | two |", pressing the tab key after one and two, which automatically the second and third "|"
  2. Press the return key, which on a new line just inserts a "|" and not | ------ | ------ |"
  3. In Preferences/Editing: "Automatically format next line in tables" is ticked

I have quit MMC, restarted, uninstalled it, downloaded a new copy from the website, restarted the machine etc, none of which helps.

This all occurs on one machine. On the other which has the same configuration, I can continue to create tables.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Victor,

I'm sorry you're having trouble. Can you send a copy of the document
that is not working for you? It's strange that it's working on one
machine but not the other, and the example you quote works just fine for me.

    Thanks!

    Thank you for the reply

Looking again, the problem appears on both machines and is as following:

    1. If the first thing I create in the file then the table feature works fine, but
    2. if I attempt to create the table other than right at the top of the file it does not work.

    Attached is an example.

The next release will have some improvements to make this easier.

    Thanks for writing in!
