Diacritical marks in URLs
In the latest App store version 2.6.5 (49) I can no longer
include diacritical marks in URLs. For example, I cannot write the
following:
Mütter When I try, I
get:
M¨utter
The work around is to write:
Mütter(http://www.whatever.com)
and then come back and enclose Mütter in brackets.
Same thing happens with ä à ë é è (I haven't tried the rest, but I assume they would produce the same results).

You'll have to turn off the "Autocomplete labels" preference (in the
Editing pane).
I'll look into a fix, but Apple's API for autocompletion is not nearly
as good as I thought it would be (or I'm doing it wrong.... ;)

Dear Fletcher,
Thanks for the quick reply. I hadn’t noticed this problem in previous versions. Did I simply miss it, or did it creep in lately (I assume by your reply that it’s been there for some time).
Thanks again,
Darin

The autocompletion has been there for a while. I don't recall off the top of my head exactly how long. I don't recall changing it recently either (a few months???)
I'll look into ways to improve it further, and hopefully this will make it more compatible with non-ASCII characters.

Dear Fletcher,
Thanks again for your quick reply. Responding on a weekend certainly is above and beyond the call of duty.
