Recently I've noticed that my math (e.g. $\pi$) is no longer rendering in the preview window. I have the "Automatically link to MathJax..." setting checked. I've included a screenshot of a simple example.

I have selected the default and plain appearance settings, so I don't believe custom settings there are to blame. Math display was working fine previously and when I export the html to a site that loads MathJax, everything comes out looking good.

Can you send me the actual document you're using. Your example works
fine for me, assuming you have correct whitespace in/around this (for
this example, this means no whitespace).

The edit pane is not highlighting as math, which makes me believe you do
not have the proper whitespace, or you're using Markdown instead of
    MultiMarkdown.
