Crashes on table caption creation

When inserting [] to create a caption for a table the 2.2 beta is crashing.

   Try to insert [] after the table. It will crash. If copying and pasting
   [some text] or [some text][some_text] then it is ok.

   I was able to track this down to a bug in MMD. Pushed a fix there, and fixed for next Composer release.
