Demo version hidden files persist after purchasing MAS version
I downloaded the demo 2.8 version. I like it enough to purchase the App Store version. After installing the MAS version, I trashed (end emptied trash) the Demo, but it continues to open instead of the App Store version. Also, the Demo shows up trying to sync with iCloud. I have deselected it as an app to use iCloud sync, but how can I purge it from my system?

There's nothing magical about the Demo. If you deleted it, it won't
keep running. If it's still running, you didn't delete it.
Delete it, and it goes away.
