Microsoft Word export not creating paragraphs

When I export to MS Word, the paragraphs I've made in MMC by entering two carriage returns are not translated into the Word format. Instead I get a Word document with a single paragraph, with a hard return at the end of each of the intended paragraphs. So, if I select a paragraph in the Word doc, the entire document is selected.

This is not true for any subhead elements. They show up properly in the Word doc.

I am using v2.8 of MMC and Word v. 14.4.9 (Office 2011 for Mac).

Sorry for the delay in responding, things have been really busy lately.

The conversion to MS Word is handled by OS X itself, not by my code. Sadly, the Word document format is a horrible format, and there are likely to be many such issues.

If you *must* use Word formats, one of the best ways to create them is to use MMD (or Composer) to create an OpenOffice document. Then use LibreOffice to convert from OpenOffice to either a Word format, or even an RTF file. It involves an extra step, but LibreOffice is one of the better tools I have found for converting between Microsoft file formats.
