Spell Check & Autocorrect not working properly

When I misspell words the autocorrect feature does not work at all and the spell check red line doesn't show up until after I have stopped typing. While the latter is something I wasn't used to but I'm liking it more, I'd still like the autocorrect to fix the simple typos that I have. I don't have this problem on any other word processing app or when I type messages on the internet like this one. I just went through a couple of words where they were autocorrected.

I'm using version 2.7 of MultiMarkdown Composer. Thanks for the consideration.

   Thanks for writing in.

   I have noticed this as well -- the autocorrect used to work, and then it stopped at some point during the development of Composer. I'm worried that this is due to an incompatibility between the way apple handles auto correct, and some of the core functionality of Composer's editing features.

   I worry that the fix to this requires a complete overhaul just about the entire text editing system inside Composer, so I can't promise a quick fix.

   Sorry for any difficulties this is causing, and I'll continue to see if there's something else I can do to fix it.

   I sincerely appreciate your response.  Please take your time on this, there’s no rush.  I’ll be able to work through it as I still love using the app.  I’ll create a three month Calendar reminder just to check in to see if this is something that can be fixed or not.
