"html header:" appearing on the top

The text "html header:" keeps appearing on the top of the preview (see attachment). It disappears and reappears while I type, but mostly, it stays once I'm finished. If I export to html, it's not appearing. It happens also if I change the style. Another possibly related issue is that math equations in some cases don't get typeset, even the most basic things like \(x^2\).

Any idea how to fix these? I already deleted MMD with AppCleaner and redownloaded it from the AppStore.

If there's something "off" with your style sheet, it can cause that to happen. I don't experience this behavior on my machine. Does it happen with certain themes? Certain documents?

As for math, have you enabled Math support (either in the preferences or in your document)? If your style sheet is invalid, it can affect the math formatting as well.

I think I "fixed" it. For some reason, under "Format" it was switched to Markdown instead of MultiMarkdown. Changing it and reopening the file fixed it.

Glad it's working for you, but I don't think that should have changed anything. I still think there's something else going on --- probably with the style theme.
