How to install a new theme? Not a word about this.
Images located in the same folder as the document don't appear in preview.

Oh, well.

If you go to Preferences ->Appearance, there is a button that takes you straight to the themes folder. Any themes you put there can be used.

As for images -- Composer needs permission to read files you didn't open, and asks for permission when you open a file that includes images. Did you give it permission to open the requested folder? Close and reopen the file to trigger it to ask you again if necessary.

    Hope that helps,

Never get a prompt for folder permissions. Doesn’t happen.

I’ll see if export at least picks up images. If not, …

Send me the file that isn't working for you and I can take a look.

There is themes button, it takes me to your web site.

I guess maybe what happens on your machine doesn’t happen anywhere else.

Essentially all other apps don’t have the problem with images: Typora, macdown, VS Code, marked 2. Others have the same problem: IA Writer, ByWord.

I figured out which ones work.

To clarify -- if you have the free version, you can't use custom themes. The information about the functionality of the free/standard/pro versions is here --http://support.multimarkdown.com/kb/composer-v4/multimarkdown-compo...

All apps sold through the App Store have to deal with Apple's sandboxing restrictions. Composer does it once you give it that permission.

Again, send me your file and I can take a look and see if there is something unusual about it that is causing it not to ask for permission.
