Any themes you put there can be used.</p>
<p>As for images -- Composer needs permission to read files you didn't open, and asks for permission when you open a file that includes images. Did you give it permission to open the requested folder? Close and reopen the file to trigger it to ask you again if necessary.</p>

<p>I guess maybe what happens on your machine doesn’t happen anywhere else.</p>
<p>Essentially all other apps don’t have the problem with images: Typora, macdown, VS Code, marked 2. Others have the same problem: IA Writer, ByWord.</p>

<p>All apps sold through the App Store have to deal with Apple's sandboxing restrictions. Composer does it once you give it that permission.</p>
<p>Again, send me your file and I can take a look and see if there is something unusual about it that is causing it not to ask for permission.</p>
