I created a new document. Did not save it.
Pasted some text into it.
Then Edited a few things.
Then selected New View Into File
A new window opened and the text reverted to the version before the edits.

    I can't replicate this.

I don't see how opening a new view into a file would revert changes
based on the code. Are you sure you didn't hit undo somehow? Anything
    else happening at the time?

Me too. I could replicate the issue 3 times on that document yesterday. But
not today. I guess I'll never know what it was...

If you are able to figure out anything to help replicate it, please let me know.

That said, I have started backporting the next generation code that was used in nvUltra (currently wrapping up beta testing) to Composer. One of the next features I'll be adding to Composer 5 is the "multiple windows per document" functionality, and am doing that from scratch. There were a few things I learned later on in that process that will make it work much more efficiently in the new version, so there is a good chance that whatever may have happened to you in this instance will be totally rewritten for the new version.
