It works fine for me.

Are you sure you didn't disable it in the preferences by using Markdown
only?

Have checked the pref box for Enable CriticMarkup Support (the other CriticMarkup syntax rules work (addition, substitution, etc.)

I do this:
This is a test. {>>What is it a test of?<<}

And expect this result:
This is a test. What is it a test of?

Instead, nothing changes. I just get:
This is a test. {>>What is it a test of?<<}

Am I incorrect about what I think the result should be? In any event, nothing changes.

Thanks for your assistance!!

wedtag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/443687532017-12-23T16:00:16Z2017-12-23T16:00:16ZProblem with comment in CriticMarkup

Your example works fine for me. The comment is colored in the editor pane.

The result in the preview depends on what CSS you're using. Some CSS
changes the color, some also adds
{>>
and
<<}
for visual separation,
and some does nothing as it doesn't include rules for CriticMarkup. So
the visual results will depend on which CSS you use. Check the HTML
source to confirm that it is working properly.

Is this the CSS you are referring to? Do I need to create my own CSS tag?

When I convert the md to html, I get the same result, with the md tag showing {>> <<} in the html.

md:
{==Truth is stranger than fiction==} {>>strange but true<<}

html:
Truth is stranger than fictionstrange but true

Does this help track down the issue I'm having?

I appreciate your help!

wedtag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/443687532017-12-23T17:57:59Z2017-12-23T17:57:59ZProblem with comment in CriticMarkup

Sounds like it is working properly - the HTML has the proper markup.

You can change your CSS to do whatever you like in terms of color, showing or hiding delimiters, or even moving comments to another place by changing positioning. You can even hide comments altogether if desired.

I'm new to Markdown, but enjoying it greatly. A great resource for my work.

wedtag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/443687532017-12-24T00:33:44Z2017-12-24T00:33:44ZProblem with comment in CriticMarkup

It takes a slightly different mindset, but once you get used to it, it's quite powerful.

Glad it's working!!
