<p>You're correct that this is a sandboxing issue. The way around this is to ensure that Composer has access to the appropriate directory. When Composer detects that there is a file it needs access to, but does not have permission, it asks you to allow it access. You just have to say yes to the folder it suggests.</p>
<p>To ensure that Composer detects that it needs access, you can close and then re-open the file, and turn on the preview.</p>
<p>In the example you include, however, you <em>link</em> to the file, rather than embed it as an image. Composer's preview is not designed to be a fully functional web browser that navigates to other pages, so that isn't going to work. But if you want to include the image as an inline image, it can do that.</p>

<p>Yes I can get a picture to show in the preview window.<br>
No to opening a file/folder in a default program.</p>
<p>So if I would make an request for future releases is that it would support Hook links <a href="https://hookproductivity.com/">https://hookproductivity.com/</a>, so that I can work around it that way.<br>
I see that nvUltra does in fact support that behaviour.</p>
