I have a bunch of issues with Open Folder.

1. Open Folder is not opening my files when I switch between
2. The Dark-theme doesn't look good
3. The files are not sorted in order (is there a sort option?)
4. Crash: I have some larger files, but they open fine individually. When I do open folder none of these files open, and it crashes if I click too many times.

    Thanks for sending the video.

I know the files are likely confidential -- is there any way you can
send them to me to test?

    1. The sorting is by modification date (newest at top). I intend to add
GUI to expose alphabetic sorting but have not done it yet.

    2. The spinning cursor is while your machine is trying to perform
QuickLook on the document. What happens if you view the troublesome
files in the Finder and try to use space bar to trigger a quicklook?
Does it also spin for a while?? I use quicklook in order to preview
images, etc. Maybe I should try to force it to use plain text for text
    files?? I'll explore a bit.

I'll email you my current draft version of the book chapters. It's totally
unedited and ... not great ... editing it now.

    1. Yes a GUI to sort by date/name would be very much appreciated.

Why is the style so hard to see?

    2. There is something wrong with my Mac, I'm going to reinstall and format
it. Quick Look is failing for just about everything and I keep losing files
in Spotlight search (have to keep reindexing)

I don't know if this is from Dropbox, Apple File System, or encryption ...

I have had multiple issues with Spotlight on several devices:

    1. It doesn't always find things on my mac, but this still seems to work
    most of the time.

    2. I tried using Spotlight to provide a search functionality for
composer for iOS -- it is very unreliable. Sadly, I have not found a
suitable full text indexing module, and while I could certainly write
something myself, it would probably be orders of magnitude slower/less
disk/memory efficient than existing high quality solutions.

    3. I recently noticed that Apple Notes began to fail to find multiple
Notes on my devices. After Googling, I finally moved them all to a
temporary folder, and then back to trigger a reindex. This seems to
    have worked.

    4. I'm having some issues with QuickLook when it uses my MMD-6 QuickLook
plugin. I have not been able to troubleshoot this yet.

I have noticed on my devices, and when talking to others, that it *may*
be that upgrading a single device multiple times eventually can lead to
    trouble (e.g. 10.9 -> 10.10 -> 10.11 -> 10.12, etc.). On my iOS
devices, after a couple of upgrades I have started wiping and
reinstalling from scratch. This fixed a variety of weird issues. It
may be time for me to do the same on my Mac Mini (I just ordered a new
MacBook Air, so that will take care of itself.) This may or may not
    apply to your situation.

    Yes I think so.

A clean install seems to fix these intermittent bugs for a while.

I won't be restoring from my backup, but I'm making one so I can grab files
    I forgot.

Within a couple of days, I already started having Spotlight trouble with Notes on my iPhone again.... Frustrating.
