While the visibilty of panels like TOC and References persists, the Preview Panel is always visible whenever I relaunch MMD composer or open a new document, and I always have to hide it.
Even worse: When browsing different versions of my document (File / Revert To / Browser all Versions…), the rather small right-hand-side window showing an older version also always shows the preview pane, leaving me with a really narrow editor panel – and a pupup dialog asking for read-only permissions to that version's directory. I've added a screenshot of that scenario.
I then can turn off the preview panel, but this keeps repeating for every version I switch to (confirm read-only access first, then turn off preview pane).

Sorry: Just found the option „Display Preview“ for „New Windows“. Switching that off resolved my issue.

mmdtag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/461078132018-09-19T12:50:14Z2018-09-19T12:50:14ZDefaults for Visibility of Preview?

No worries. Happens to the best of us.
