Opening a new and existing documents

NEW DOCUMENTS

Whenever I open a new file (or an existing .md file for the first time) the editor opens in a "square" in the middle of the actual screen (see the first Screen Shot attached). I have to manually change the screen size (real estate) used by this file. Subsequent openings of this file open to the previous screen positions.

I have played with the Preferences settings but can't seem to find where this file opening can be changed to full screen.

EXISTING DOCUMENTS

When I open an existing .md file the source pane shows the first line go the file at the top of the source file pane (as you would expect). However, the MD preview pane shows the first line of the preview at the bottom of the preview pane thus requiring the preview contents to be manually scrolled up to be seen. Every other two pane MD editor I have tried (and I have tried many) synchs the top lines of the source and preview at the top of their respective panes. See the second Screen Shot file attached.

MultiMarkdown Composer is a great app but these two issues irritate every time I use it.

Is there a way to fix these issues?

Regards,
Peter

    Peter,

Thanks for writing with your comments.

Composer remembers the last position used for each file when it is
closed, including the "Untitled" document used for new windows. If you
want to change the default position for new windows, just change the
window for a new document, and then close it to make sure it is
    remembered for subsequent uses.

I'll look at the positioning of the preview when it first loads for the
    next release.

    Fletcher,

    Thanks for your quick response.

All problems with opening new MMD documents have now been resolved. Opening the new blank document and then closing it did the trick.

    Regards,
    Peter
