Bug/crash when switching back to Composer after viewing file in another app (and *not* editing it)

Hi Fletcher,

I've started a new thread for the above as my original post on 'multi-app editing' had a subject which pointed the finger in a direction (that Settings checkbox) which turned out to be unconnected...

But also because with the latest build multi-app editing is essentially working as desired... and it is real joy to now be able to write text within Composer and switch at any time to perform operations on the file that are (currently?) outside the scope of the expansions/keybindings system...

However, there is one oddly simple case where it fails, and that is when switching to another app to view but not edit the file. At the point of returning to Composer the file closes abruptly and you are either dumped back in the files listing or the app crashes altogether.

  1. Start in Composer: Type "foo"
  2. Switch to 1Writer: View the text of the same file but make no edits
  3. Switch back to Composer: File fades away...

It is probably necessary to wait a few seconds between steps, and sometimes everything is fine in Step 3 and requires another switch-out and switch-back before the file closes, but for me this is reproducible every time.

On one occasion I somehow again to lose data this way, although haven't been able to reproduce that...

...but apart from this, it all works great!

Speak soon,

Mark

    Mark,

Thanks for the feedback and the instructions to reproduce. I'll look into what's going on to make some further improvements.
