I can't view a custom style sheet in the menu

I've downloaded two of the custom style sheets from the website and put them in the style sheet folder that the "Open Themes Folder" opens. It only has those two in it. I don't know where the built-in style sheets are kept. Is this a change in the beta version (3.0b19)? I haven't tried to do this with earlier versions.

As per built-in help that pops up when you first run 3.0, "Styles" are now "Themes". This includes the file extensions and the folder name where they belong. Requires a change now, but will be more consistent in the future.

As I said, the styles are in that "Themes" folder, but they don't appear
on the "Theme" menu with the default styles. How do I select them?

As I said, you need to change the file extensions to "theme".

It would be nice to be able to change the theme on the fly without having to close and re-open the file, which AFAICT, seems to be necessary now (3.0beta).

Just reapply the theme. You don't have to close.

Thanks, Fletcher. However, changing the theme from the View -> Theme menu updates the editing frame but not the preview frame, which Close->Reopen does. Am I missing something?

If you want to refresh the preview, then do so.

Yes, but that's a non-obvious extra step, especially for new users. Could there be a Preferences option to refresh the Preview when the Theme is changed?

It normally refreshes when you apply a new theme. If it doesn't take, you can always force a refresh

    Hi Fletcher,

Today MMC 3.0beta reported that it had expired but I can't find where to
download a new one. Is it out of Beta now?
