I have Typewriter Height set to 0; I tried leaving it blank, but it then defaulted back to 0.5, so I set it back to 0.

I opened an existing document, clicked in a line toward the middle of the screen, and typed a character. The document immediately shifted such that the line where I was typing was moved to the top of the MMD window.

I don't want typewriter mode. I don't want the text moving on me while I'm typing. What setting to I need to use to accomplish that?

Vincetag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/432335612017-08-17T19:18:54Z2017-08-17T19:18:54ZTyping in an existing document forces the line to the top of the screen

Just turn off Typewriter Mode in the menu bar.

Done. IMO, that should really not be defaulted to on.

Vincetag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/432335612017-08-17T19:26:16Z2017-08-17T19:26:16ZTyping in an existing document forces the line to the top of the screen

Typewriter height changes just that -- the target height (as fraction of total height).

None of this has changed in the 5+(?) years that Typewriter mode has been used in Composer.
