find
find (command f) works but
after selecting done, it's no longer available (greyed out)

Is the textview active when it's greyed out?
There seems to be an issue with Find bars where focus it not returned to the textview when it closes (reported by others as well).
I'll look for a workaround, but it should still work if you ensure proper focus (e.g. click in the textview.)
