For instance one could open MMDC directly with a new blank document, or with the last document opened.

loukastag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/433462692017-09-02T14:09:04Z2017-09-02T14:09:04ZStartup a bit slow

Which version are you using? Is this on both computers, or the same one that can't get the sidebars right?

Composer launches in under a second or so on my machines

MMDC does (if you have the preference checked) check a webpage (a single line of text) to see if there are any new announcements. Prior to b 26 this could cause a delay under certain circumstances with a broken internet connection, but worked quickly with normal internet or no network connection. This should be fixed as of b26.

Fletchertag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/433462692017-09-02T17:14:42Z2017-09-02T17:14:42ZStartup a bit slow

Wonderful! With B27 it takes a second on iMac and slightly more on MacBook

loukastag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/433462692017-09-02T17:17:39Z2017-09-02T17:17:39ZStartup a bit slow

Great!

Fletcher
