I've found it fairly easy to get Preview scrolling messed up, by which I mean it stops scrolling altogether. I have a rather large document (almost 500 ilnes). Starting at the top, I just scroll down using my MBP's trackpad, i.e. two fingers starting in the middle of the trackpad pushing up. (I have it set to scroll like a phone.)

Where I can most consistently get it to happen (but it's not consistent, i.e. I can only make it happen every few tries) is to start at the top, scroll once, scroll again before it stops, scroll again before it stops. (In other words, what you do instinctively when you want to scroll a lot in a large document.) I'm scrolling what I would call medium speed. Sometimes, on the third scroll, the Preview window stops scrolling altogether. The editor side continues to scroll. Sometimes (but not every time), if I use my fingers again to keep scrolling, the Preview side will re-align itself and pick up scrolling again.

I've also had it happen when changing directions, i.e. I'm at the bottom of the document, I scroll up, get to the top, then scroll back down. With the change in direction, Preview freezes.

Note that although I'm describing what I did to make this happen, I wasn't "exercising" the scrolling — this initially happened during normal use.

If you can't figure out what it is first, I'll try to make a video tomorrow. I've hit the limit of beta time today, I have to spend the rest of the day on real work. :)

Vincetag:support.multimarkdown.com,2013-02-12:Comment/432913602017-08-30T23:12:04Z2017-08-30T23:12:04ZPreview stops scrolling

I found a fix for this (or at least some causes of this). Will be in b26.

Fletcher
