Mathematical formulas not displaying properly
Hi Fletcher,
'm using the 4.0b beta and I can't get math expressions to display properly using either the $LaTeX notation$ or the \\(alternative notation\\). I've enclosed a short sample .md file.
I do have the "Automatically Link to MathJax CDN for preview and export" button clicked under the Advanced Tab.
I note that the MathJax CDN shut down at the end of April 2017. I wonder if MMD is still linking to the old CDN address?
I tried adding the following to my MMD Metadata, but still no joy:
HTML header: <script type="text/javascript" async
src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/mathjax/2.7.1/MathJax.js?config=TeX-MML-AM_CHTML">
</script>
Thanks,
Mike Richardson

The file you sent me works just fine.
Did you try refreshing the preview in order to view the math?

I had tried refereshing the preview but no joy.
But, just now I hit the preview command over and over. After about the third or fourth time, the equations suddenly starting displaying properly.
I was also seeing the same behavior when I tried previewing my file with Marked. However, that too is now working properly after yet another refresh commands.
I'm used to having to run things several times with LaTeX to get the final product. Is this also an issue with MathJax?
Thanks a zillion,
Mike

I don't usually have to re-run with MathJax (but yes with LaTeX)
Maybe you needed to reset a cache???

Upgraded to b20 and things are going well so far. Perhaps it was only a build issue.
Also, could be time to restart my Mac. Been running lots of large Jupyter notebook files with interactive widgets lately, and memory leaks may be eating me alive there.
I'll let you know if it recurs.
Cheers,
Mike
